Today Gareth Davies MP asked the Chief Secretary of the Treasury, Rt Hon Stephen Barclay MP about the Government's focus on sustainable public finances in the face of rising inflation. This morning the Office for National Statistics (ONS) published an inflation report showing that prices increased significantly in May with overall inflation now rising to 2.1%.
