Gareth welcomes the announcement that Lincolnshire will receive over £5million from the extended and expanded Household Support Fund.
In the Spring Statement, the Government said it would double this national fund from £500million to £1billion. The Fund helps the most vulnerable households with the cost of living.
A third of the funding will be ring-fenced to support families with children, while another third will be dedicated to pensioners.
Using their local knowledge, Local Authorities will determine how best to use the remainder of the fund. Previous funding has supported households with food, clothing, energy and water costs.
