Gareth Davies MP has welcomed today the Brexit Pub Guarantee which will support local businesses and communities by cutting taxes for 38,000 pubs and bars across the country.
The Brexit Pub Guarantee will ensure that the duty paid on a pint is lower by up to 11p compared to supermarkets, so that our local pubs will no longer be undercut by supermarket competitors.
This is part of wider reforms to taxation, which also includes taxing alcoholic drinks according to strength and introducing new relief for small drinks producers. This will help to ensure pubs and producers can continue to innovate and thrive, helping to grow our economy.
