Local MP Gareth Davies today visited a fantastic local business in Grantham.
Founded in 1997, Skillington Workshop is one of the UK's leading architectural and sculptural conservation firms.
From their base in Grantham, they have worked on local historical sites such as Burghley House as well as taking on major commissions during the restorations on St. Albans Abbey and Westminster Cathedral.
Gareth was lucky to have the opportunity to step back in time while visiting their workshop today to view a spectacular Roman mosaic and to hear about the impact a recent £10,000 grant from the Government's Culture Recovery Fund has had on their work.
Our historic homes and monuments are nothing without the skilled craftsmen needed to maintain them for the future and so we should be proud that Grantham is home to some of the very best!
