Gareth Davies MP joined the Chairman of the Parish Council, Cllr Philip Sagar, in Tallington to see the impact first-hand and speak to local residents who are just beginning the clean-up following flooding over the past fortnight.
Gareth said:
"It’s been a challenging week or so for many in our area, but the strength of our community spirit has been on display as local residents and businesses begin to recover from Storm Henk.
As well as in Tallington, parts of Stamford, Bourne, and many villages such as Greatford were also affected, and my thoughts are with all those who have seen their homes or their businesses flooded following this terrible storm.
I want to assure everyone affected that I continue to engage with the Environment Agency, local authorities, and Government ministers to ensure that local people have access to the support they need to repair and recover."
