Gareth Davies MP was interviewed by Sky News this morning in his capacity as Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury.
One topic of discussion was new ONS data showing a fall in inflation from 11% to 4.6%. This update confirmed that the Prime Minister had succeeded in meeting his promise to halve inflation.
Gareth explained that, while this was welcome news which would ease the burden on families across the country, the Government remained committed to bringing inflation back to its 2% target, working together with the independent Bank of England.
