Gareth was pleased to meet with Lincolnshire Police & Crime Commissioner Marc Jones at Grantham Police Station to continue his ongoing discussions on getting a fairer share of funding from national government for Lincolnshire Police. Tackling crime in the constituency is one his top priorities and we need the funding and resource to do that. As recent events involving serious attacks on our police across the country have shown, the safety of those who serve to protect us on the streets must be prioritised. The Government have just announced a new £10m cash injection for more Tasers.
The home Office is also accelerating plans for a police covenant focusing on the Physical protection of officers whilst they keep our streets safe.
