This afternoon, Gareth Davies MP attended the NFU Summer Reception in Parliament, taking place as part of the NFU’s ongoing ‘Back British Farming’ campaign.
At the event this year, the NFU published their most recent survey of 2,000 adults in England and Wales which found that Britain’s farmers and growers are one of the public’s most favoured and valued professions, second only to nursing.
The reception was very well-attended, further demonstrating the importance of farming, especially to more rural MPs such as Gareth, despite its disappointing exclusion from the new Labour Government’s first King’s Speech yesterday.
