In September, Gareth launched a survey in Elsea Park in Bourne to let residents provide feedback about any local issues, especially around facilities for young people.
Over half of responses indicated that they witnessed anti-social behaviour around Elsea Park, with many comments also made about a desire to see more visible policing in the area. Speeding was also a matter of concern and multiple responses suggested the implementation of a 20mph limit across Elsea Park. These comments have been passed on to Lincolnshire Police and the County Council.
Regarding facilities around Elsea Park, the vast majority of responses agreed that Elsea Park was a good place for children to grow up, but many also highlighted the need for things to do for teenagers. Suggestions included a skatepark, basketball court, and the use of the community centre for a greater range of events. These, alongside other ideas raised in the survey have been passed on to the Elsea Park Community Trust.
