We live in an area of great natural beauty, so it is important that we maintain a clean, safe environment for all of us to enjoy - whether by cleaning our streets, protecting our wildlife, or supporting our farmers.
In the last parliament, I helped secure:
- A share of the £30m Farming Investment Fund for local farmers.
- An additional £280,000 for local woodlands.
- £58,000 to tackle air pollution.
- A visit from the Farming Minister to Grantham for a ‘Farming Summit’ attended by local farmers, the NFU, the Environment Agency, and Lincolnshire Police.
We must look after our area for future generations. When our farmers succeed, we all succeed, so I continue to push for better farm funding, protection of the best and most versatile agricultural land, and support for farmers to harness new technology.
